Avalanche awareness is a necessity for anyone skiing, boarding and traveling in the mountains during the winter. Our goal with this course is to help you recognize winter hazards and understand the basics of evaluating snow stability.

Topics such as weather, snow pack, terrain, route finding, use of a transceiver and rescue techniques will be covered. One evening and two field days will cover all the information you need to travel safely in winter.
