Stein
in 10 Days
The Stein Valley
Nlaka'pamux Heritage Park, A
Living Museum of Cultural and
Natural History, is a 1060 square
kilometers (410 square miles)
park.
The Nlaka'pamux
people have lived in this area
for thousands of years and placed
large spiritual and mythological
importance on the Stein Valley.
From this heritage developed
many rock painting sites throughout
the lower valley which represent
spirit quests and visions of
historical events. The entire
Stein is protected and leaves
a rare, pristine environment
to be explore.
This exciting
10 days adventure incorporates
trekking through the high alpine,
great ridges crossing then,
a slowly descent of the Stein
River to reach its confluence
with the Fraser River.
We will be
finishing this rewarding trek
with a day of whitewater rafting
on the great Thompson river.
The magic of this trip will
surround you for ever!
