Winter Survival Course
Winter
survival knowledge is a necessity for anyone skiing, boarding,
snowmobiling and traveling in the mountains in the winter. Our
goal with this course is to help you recognize winter hazards
and understand the basics of winter survival. Topics such as weather
forecast, recognizing avalanche terrain, public avalanche bulletins,
emergency shelters, snow pack structure, use of a transceiver,
rescue techniques and winter survival skills will be covered.
4 hours of classroom and 16 hours of field sessions will cover
all the information you need to travel safely in the mountains
over the winter months. Knowing pays and basic skills can save
lives. Don’t be a statistic, take the course!
