Rock Rescue Course
Accidents happen. When they do, we want you to be prepared with the necessary skills to undertake the safest rescue possible.
Learning Outcome:
- Review of knots, belay and rappel tehniques
- Gear review
- Rescue rappels
- How to Escape the belay
- Ascending ropes
- Lower and raising systems using ratchets, clutches and other techniques to keep you safe
- Rescue pulley systems
- Rescue sytems and strategies

Duration: 6 hours

Terrain: Well maintained trails
Difficulty: Moderate to challenging
Ratio: 6 to 1
Prerequisites: Good fitness level

Meet at Squamish Adventure Centre parking lot
Start: 8.30am
Finish: 4.00pm
Gear
Good hiking and climbing shoes and personal equipment required
Harness and helmet available if needed
